Birmingham City Council and Immersive Education are pleased to announce that the leading educational software library – Kar2ouche – has been purchased for every school in Birmingham.

What you will receive
Primary Schools:
- Kar2ouche Unlimited - 24 titles KS1&2, School Site & Home licence till Aug 2008, annual CPD training, new title in the autumn (Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening), future upgrades, online training videos and support.
Secondary Schools:
- Kar2ouche Unlimited - 31 titles KS 3&4, School Site & Home licence till Aug 2008, 31 titles, annual training, new title in the autumn (Political Awareness & Citizenship), future upgrades, online training videos and support.
- Krucible virtual laboratories bringing physics to life - School Site licence.
- MissionMaker 3D game authoring software - School Site & Home licence.
** All schools will be eligible for preferential pricing on all other Immersive Education services and products.
Training
Initial Training
- Contact your local CLC or Immersive Education for details.
- A comprehensive training programme will be run in each of the 6 regions from the CLCs.
- Training courses are 2 hours in duration, and will be held at the CLC centres. Schools should send as many staff as they can, ideally at least 3.
- Professional development certificates will be provided to all attendees for their career portfolios.
Online Training Support
- Immersive Education also provide online training materials on our training page.
Further Training on-site
- If schools require further on-site training, this can be arranged with either your local CLC or with Immersive Education.
Installation
Schools Under the Managed Service
- The software should now have been installed into the school by the Managed Service team as part of their regular visits.
Schools not under the Managed Service
- Option 1 - contact your CLC to arrange a loan of one of the hard drives they have purchased.
- Option 2 - purchase your own hard drive and complete your own installation. Download the order form and fax back to order.
- Option 3 - in some cases it may be possible for a technician from the CLC to carry out the installation. Contact your local CLC to find out more.
